I try to paint things as I see them. Sometimes I see things as they are. Sometimes I see things as I want them to be. Often I don’t make them look how I want them to look. But sometimes the act of painting is enough to go home happy. I hope that others find something in my paintings as well. For me, the expression is important, but it has always been important to me that others can connect with my paintings. They are a way for me to share the places where I find beauty.

I am lucky to be able to go home every day to Shepherdstown, West Virginia and see my wife, my daughter and my son. I love to show them my paintings and see what they think.
